Today I was assigned a SSAT or Secondary School Admission Test by my dad because I have no ELA work to give me and there is one problem that is making me confused, and it will also confuse an expert mathematician. I am still confused, and I will tell you this thing that bent my mind.
The question was 10 + 10(10 + 10) / 10 – 10(10 – 10). First, we simplify the first half. That becomes 400 because 20 x 20 = 400. The second half is 0 because 0 x 0 = 0. That leaves only the mind-bending part 400 / 0. As you should know you cannot divide by zero, but this problem gives me four hundred divided by zero which is impossible. But if we do decide to break the mathematical rules then any number divided by zero is zero or infinity because if we divide by zero there is going to be a nonexistent group with a number and that means that that number does not exist and results in zero. Or there is a value in this case 400 assigned to nothing and no matter what you multiply by you cannot get any number other than zero but putting something into nothing is not possible but if it was that would result in infinity. Also, zero is equal to one because there needs to be an inverse of zero so if we divide by zero, we must be able to multiply by zero and that is possible and if dividing by zero gives infinity and multiplying by zero must give the opposite of infinity which is zero but zero represents nothing but nothing is something an if it represents an empty box the box is full of atoms and dust and bacteria but if it is in a vacuum then there still would be light. And if you somehow manage to make an empty void with nothing in it not even air or light or bacteria that would cause a gravitational pull because nothing does not exist and eventually cause the walls to cave in and collapse letting in air light bacteria and a lot of things which means nothing can exist but the longer nothing exists the stronger the pull to cave in is which means nothing can exist but not for long which means nothing always becomes something and that means some scientific stuff I don’t know but I do know never divide by zero.
